I love everything about this calendar: this is the second one I have purchased. The pages are loose and each day you move the date that has passed to the back of the stack. The daily pages are in a slanted lucite stand and I keep mine on an end-table in the TV room. The 8 X 8 photos are excellent and contain information about Paris landmarks, many of which are new to me, a long-time Francophile.This company used to publish a France desk calendar in an awkward, tablet-top format that sprawled out flat. I would like to see those pictures republished in this new size and format.
The clear plastic case for this calender is sturdy and attractive. The pages of the calender are a very good size, high quality and and the photos available are quite good. Realise though that because this is NOT a tear the page off a day calender and all the pages are loose in the plastic holder that there is a fairly high potential for everything to get knocked over and the whole to go flying out and spill, getting out of order and possibly crushed to bits. That is quite a design flaw from my perspective from living in a more lived in home with pets where destruction is assured. In an office of blissful serenity, I'm sure it'd be fine. Just be aware.
This calendar is NICE. Large color pictures for every day. Hiqh-quality printing on good paper stock. Half the year on one side, then flip the stack over for the second half of the year. So the paper is thick enough to last.Comes in a hard plastic tray/container. Just wanted to chime in, not knowing exactly what you might be getting, this is good size, bright, and high quality.
This is my second year with this particular calendar; the quality is excellent and the views of the city are delightful, whether you haven't been there yet or know it well.
The Paris Page-A-Day is always great, very well done and informative. In addition to each page being visually beautiful, the text is informative. I use this calendar as a a guide of where to go in Paris for my next trip(s) as well as just enjoying and reminiscing. :)
Paris is my favorite city. This is the second year I’ve used this calendar and enjoy the surprise of each day’s picture of some Paris local. You could plan a trip using the picture descriptions as suggestions for must see sights. I have recommended this to others, especially if they are planning a trip to the city of light.
I have a tradition that on Christmas I hand one of these calendars to different members of our family depending on their passions and links to a country or another and they are very well received.
In 2018 I enjoyed a beautiful glimpse of Paris daily...printed on quality paper with bright colors. When I opened the 2019 calendar I was expecting another “Page-A-Day†of enjoyment. The quality of the of the paper and brightness/clarity of photos is disappointing.
