This is a pretty straightforward book, so the projects are tables, picture frames, candle holders, and a few strictly decorative items. The techniques section looked familiar to me, it's from another, previous, book, probably one that I had seen in the library. Anyway, the technique section is sufficient to get an adult up and running with mosaicing using broken pottery/ceramics and glass squares.My young daughters thought the projects depicted in the book were universally impressive. So we're going to do a couple of similar mosaics.All in all, good, basic book, perfect for the beginner, or someone looking for a selection of basic mosaic projects.

This is a great little book for beginners with easy to understand basics of mosaics and tools. I refer to this more than any other mosaic book and I am gradually collecting many more books by these authors. Biggs and Hunkin give you the encouragement to try the new and different things. Easy to understand and a great reference.

This book has beautiful color photos and examples of mosaic designs. It has a wide variety of projects. Glad I bought it.

I teach mosaics and this would be the second most popular book. Great photos, simple to advanced ideas and easy to follow instructions.

About the Author

Jan Dobbins is a specialist in music education for young children. A songwriter and composer, she runs creative children's workshops focusing on instrumental music, art and drama. She is also an instrumental teacher and former head of music for schools in North Somerset, and has written a successful tutor book series for violin, viola and cello. This is her first project with Barefoot Books. David Sim was born in Glasgow. He studied graphic design at the Edinburgh College of Art in the UK, and illustration at the Royal College of Art, London. My son loves tractors and we found this video online and he watched it over and over. When I saw this I thought it would be perfect. Right now though my son prefers to just watch the video online. Maybe when he is older and can read he will enjoy it more.The book is good quality and the pictures are colorful and eye catching. The video though is exactly as you watch online.If you have not watched it online then this is a good book/cd for any tractor/farm animal/song kid.

We love our Barefoot sing-a-long books! They come with a CD that plays an animated version of the book. Our granddaughter loves it and now I know how to sing along, too. The book is colorful and the song is catchy. It is perfect for Old MacDonald and farm lovers of all ages.

Cutest musical book ever!!!! Bought several for my son but he only wants to play this one! Such a catchy song and great illustrated pictures!

We got this book from the library a few years ago for our now 5 year old daughter, who loved it. We decided to purchase it for our 11 month old son. Now the whole family enjoys listening to the CD while we read along. FYI: I wanted to know what was actually on the audio CD but couldn't ever find it listed. The tracks are:1. A 1 minute music instrumental and author introduction2. The author singing the book's text along with the music3. The same as track 2, without the author's singing4. A short music instrumental, similar to track 1.

I found this book as a video on YouTube and my 21 month old daughter, my husband and I all loved it so much we bought the book! We have had this book for about 2 1/2 weeks now and I read it at least 4 times everyday and whenever we see a tractor we break out in the song. Such a great little song/story with sweet pictures and at the end it shows different types of tractors/machines used on the farm as well as many crops. We love this book and will be buying more for gifts as well as other titles from the author/illustrator :o)

My son loves the song/book. We've had it for over a year and the DVD still plays after hearing the song on repeat (#3 on the DVD) millions of times!!!

Such a fun read, count and sing book. My 2 year old sings along about the farmer on his very busy day and shows the colorful pages to his little sister.

My three year old son and I check out about a dozen books from our local public library every other week. For Christmas Santa brought him a handful of his favorites out of the hundreds we've checked out. This is one of his absolute favorites. The colors and bright and the song is simple but catchy. Very nice.

This is a nice book to start saving your favorite songs. It works well with the small chord stamp. There is enough room between the lines to place the chords. It would have been nice if Amazon would have shown a picture of the INSIDE of the book since that is the part that you need to see. The cover doesn’t really help you much. The inside looks like the right hand side of the cover.

Space to write your tab in seems small. Other than that, it is fine and is a nice place to have all your riffs in 1 place - especially if you are writing a lot of your own riffs and recording them as they flow from you ;)

The only thing I'd like is if the staffs/tabs were bigger. There are other versions out there with larger staffs/tabs, but they limit how many staffs/tabs per sheet. Still a good buy. That's just me being picky. Spiral bound would be good as well.

Very affordable and contains a good deal of pages. I enjoy the formatting, and it's great to keep around so I can write down riffs. I would appreciate slightly more space between bars, however.

This is a great book to have on hand. I use it to tab out impromptu riffs during lessons and to write down special chord fingerings for students. I will be ordering more of these for sure. I just wish the pages were perforated. Still the rip out neatly.

Sometimes I just got to TAB some stuff out so I can remember it in my old age. I like the chord diagram boxes at the bottom of each page.

This book is what I was looking for except that the lines on each stave are too close together for easy writing. With that much wasted space between each stave there is plenty of room to add more space between each line and even another stave. I wouldn't buy this product again.
